About me

The pharmacist behind the counter

I hold a Doctor of Pharmacy degree and work in community pharmacy, where most of my day is spent in conversation: a new prescription, a question about side effects, a parent unsure about a dose, someone juggling six medicines from three different doctors.

My job is to make all of that make sense. I explain plainly, check for interactions, and help you build a routine you can keep. If something should go back to your doctor, I will say so.

“A medicine only works when it is understood. I take the time to make sure it is.” Dr. Leyli Ekhlasmand Kermani

What to bring

A good consultation starts with a complete picture. Bring these, and we can use the time for your questions rather than for guessing.

  • Your medication planOr simply the packaging of everything you take, including drops, sprays, patches and supplements.
  • Known allergies and intolerancesLactose, gluten, penicillin, anything that has caused a reaction before.
  • Recent lab values, if you have themKidney and liver values matter for dosing. Your doctor's last printout is enough.
  • Your questions, written downEven the small ones. The ones people forget to ask are often the most important.
